POSTED 12-29-2007 JAMES TURNER GOING IN FOR MEDICAL TEST

We have some medical news to share with our many friends. James, the leader of this group has been having some problems with breathing and pain to his chest. He has been to the Doctor for test and they believe he has some blockage to his heart. On January 2, 2008 James will have the scope ran up to his heart to see just what is going on. Hopefully they will not find anything but they are looking to see if he will need a stint or even open heart surgery. I am asking you all to get hold of God with your prayers. POSTED 12-26-2007 DEBORAH JILL STONE PASSES AWAY

We are sadden by the lost of Deborah "Jill" Stone 53, of Scottsville, KY. Jill died 12-26-2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. The Allen County native was the owner and operator of Scottsville Tax Service. Survivors include her husband, Larry Stone; a son, Daniel Stone and his wife, Amy, of Scottsville; and two grandchildren, Damon and Aidan Stone, both of Scottsville. Jill was our Tax person and did many of the Turner's Taxes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Stone family. May God be with you!

The Turner Family has been singing for more than 41 years and is no stranger to gospel music, Originally, they started as a trio. It was James and Lois Turner and Thomas Allen, Lois Turner's brother. However, Thomas drop out of the trio, so then they picked up James Howard and sung for years. On August 2, 1975 the original Turner Family was formed with James, Lois and their two son's Odell and Tim Turner. After the resigning of both son's James and Lois continues on to sing and carry the word in song. It hasn't always been an easy road picking up new member's and losing them. Today, they are joined by Mike Hanner of Scottsville, KY. and Jay Phelps of Bowling Green, KY. The Turner Family has performed on T.V. stations, numerous revivals, and camp meetings. For several years they have sponsored their annual open-air singing at their home, have sung at local department stores, county fairs,singing conventions, and anywhere the Lord calls them to sing. They traveled in several states across the U.S. including Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Hope to see you at a Church or event near you real soon!
