The Turner Family has been singing for more than 41 years and is no stranger to gospel music, Originally, they started as a trio. It was James and Lois Turner and Thomas Allen, Lois Turner's brother. However, Thomas drop out of the trio, so then they picked up James Howard and sung for years. On August 2, 1975 the original Turner Family was formed with James, Lois and their two son's Odell and Tim Turner. After the resigning of both son's James and Lois continues on to sing and carry the word in song. It hasn't always been an easy road picking up new member's and losing them. Today, they are joined by Mike Hanner of Scottsville, KY. and Jay Phelps of Bowling Green, KY. The Turner Family has performed on T.V. stations, numerous revivals, and camp meetings. For several years they have sponsored their annual open-air singing at their home, have sung at local department stores, county fairs,singing conventions, and anywhere the Lord calls them to sing. They traveled in several states across the U.S. including Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Hope to see you at a Church or event near you real soon!
